Medical University Pleven, often short-named as MU Pleven, is one of the several public medical universities in Bulgaria. The university was founded in 1974. It has three faculties, namely the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Public Health.

The Faculty of Medicine at MU Pleven teaches various courses, primarily divided into Medicine and Nursing. The university offers Medicine (MBBS) and Nursing programs in English for international students. The university also organizes a preparatory year for students who are not fully familiar with English or the Bulgarian language.

MBBS & Nursing Admission in MU Pleven

The admissions to the Medical University Pleven in Bulgaria are open. You can apply before September 2026 for the session that's due to start in February 2027.

  2. Entrance exam: The Medical University Pleven will conduct entrance exam for Chemistry and Biology. The exam will be online, and you will need a computer or Mac with a webcam and mic to participate. We will provide you with sample questions to prepare.
  3. Nostrification: Your documents need to undergo nostrification. It is a mandatory process where your existing academic performance is validated and equated to the Bulgarian education system. It takes over 20 days to complete.

  4. Ministry approval (letter of acceptance): We will submit your application to the Ministry of Education and Science, Bulgaria, for approval of student status. It can take upto 20 days.
  5. Visa Application in India: We will prepare your visa application form and all supporting documents. Then, you need to visit the Embassy of Bulgaria to submit your visa application file.
  6. Visa Approval: The Embassy takes about 4  weeks to review the visa application and issue a visa.
  7. Travel and start studying: You can travel once your visa is approved. Then register with the university and start studying.
