The regulations govern the requirements that a student who graduated from a foreign (abroad) medical university must meet to be eligible to obtain a license or permanent registration in India.

FMGL Regulations vs MBBS in Bosnia - Step by step
There are several requirements that the NMC expects a student's degree to meet before making them eligible for an internship, FMGE (or NExT), and for permanent registration in India. They are:
1. Duration of the course
NMC requirement: NMC requires that the MBBS (or equivalent) study program last at least 54 months. It can be longer, but it cannot be shorter than that.
MBBS in Bosnia: The Medicine study program across all universities in Bosnia & Herzegovina (BiH) lasts 6 full years, during which you complete 360 ECTS credits. So, the course duration requirement is fully met ✅.
2. Undergone 1 year of internship
NMC Requirement: The student must undergo an internship of a minimum duration of 12 months in the same foreign medical institution.
MBBS in Bosnia: Most of the final year of studies is devoted to internship (clinical rotations). The internships are conducted by the universities in their own or affiliated hospitals. So, the NMC requirement regarding the internship is also fulfilled ✅.
3. Medium of instruction being English
NMC Requirement: The foreign medical degree should be taught in English.
MBBS in Bosnia: The study program Medicine in English offered by the various universities in Bosnia & Herzegovina, including the University of East Sarajevo is English. So, it fully aligns with the NMC's regulations ✅.
4. Subjects to be studied
NMC Requirement: The student must have studied the mandatory subjects specified in the Schedule-I.

5. Registration in the country of study
NMC Requirement: The student should be registered with the respective professional regulatory body or otherwise, competent to grant a license to practice medicine in their respective jurisdiction of the country in which the medical degree is awarded.
MBBS in Bosnia: The legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina allows foreigners to practice in the country. As such, students can obtain a license to practice after passing the licensing exam called "Professional Exam". The exam is generally taken orally in front of a committee. - The course should be completed from the same single university and not in parts from different universities.
