The wait is over. The "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca, has released the admission results for the July 2026 admissions session (Session 2). The results were scheduled to be published on 28th July; however, the university deferred the results announcement to 31st July due to an excessive number of applications,
If you applied to study Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, or Pharmacy at UMF Cluj-Napoca in Romanian, English, or French, you can now check your admission result. This is an important moment for every applicant and family, especially if you have been waiting to begin your medical education in Romania.
How to check the results?
The results are published on the university website on the admissions for international students webpage.
Note: Since the results do not publish student names, you need to search your application using the application ID. The application ID is available in the portal where you registered your application. If you applied through an agency, then contact them for the same.
If You Have Been Allocated a Seat
First of all, congratulations! Receiving a seat at UMF Cluj-Napoca is a major step towards your goal of studying in Romania.
Do not delay your next actions. Admission is only the first part of the process. The next important part is to confirm your seat by meeting the requirements. The most important thing is to transfer the tuition fee to the university.
If You Have Not Been Allocated a Seat
If you did not receive a seat in Session 2, do not feel discouraged. Competition for medical and healthcare programs in Romania is very high due to limited seats, and many deserving applicants fail to secure a seat. If you're on the waiting list, there is still a chance to get a seat if some admitted students do not confirm their seats by the deadline.
UMF Cluj-Napoca Session 3: Programs Available
The university has opened a new admissions session to accept applications for some programs with remaining seats. The university is accepting applications for the following programs:
- Medicine (English)
- Medicine (Romanian)
- Nursing (English)
- Pharmacy (French)
Here's a quick table comparing the total number of seats and the seats available for filling in Session 3.

| Nursing (English) | 50 | - | 1 (EU) + 8 (non-EU) |

Who Should Consider Applying for Session 3?
You should consider Session 3 if you meet the eligibility requirements and have good marks in your 12th class (for Indian students). Due to limited seats and admissions being full at most other Romanian universities, demand may be very high.
So, don't forget to contact us to submit your application if:
- You missed the earlier admission sessions.
- You are still exploring affordable and recognized options for medical or healthcare education in Europe.
- You have very good marks in your school to outnumber the other applicants for the few seats left for the Session 3.
