NEET score needed in 2022 to study MBBS in abroad
NTA has already declared the results of NEET-UG 2022. Students can now start taking admissions in the medical programs in India and overseas. As per the directions of MCI (and now NMC), NEET qualification is a must even if students want to study MBBS/BDS outside of India. So, the question now comes: how much is the qualifying score? Here’s your answer.

Qualifying NEET 2022 score to study MBBS abroad

The requirement varies slightly based on the category you belong to. You need a NEET score of 117 or higher for general category students to study MBBS abroad. However, if you belong to a reserved category, OBCSC/ST category, then a score of 108 is the qualifying score. Please check the following table for your reference.

I’ve qualified! Which are the best places to study MBBS abroad?

Congratulations on clearing your NEET UG exam. Now, if you are looking to study abroad, there are a  lot of well-deserving study destinations outside of India for your medical studies. NMC has issued new guidelines that have made a lot of existing study abroad destinations ineligible. So, the best options as of today are:

  1. Georgia
  2. Bosnia and Herzegovina

I’ve not qualified for NEET 2022. Can I still study MBBS abroad?

If you fail to qualify for the NEET exam, you are unfortunately ineligible to study MBBS abroad as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC). However, if you have qualified NEET 2021 or in any of the previous three years, then you can use that score to apply for MBBS abroad.

We know that it is disappointing, but you should never give up. We recommend that you do not listen to anybody who says you can still go abroad because you will face the consequences when you return to India after finishing your studies. We wish you all the best in your attempt next year.
