The Embassy of India in Budapest, which is concurrently accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the University of East Sarajevo campus in Foča on 5th May 2026 as part of its outreach to Indian students pursuing higher education in Bosnia. The team is led by Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Head of the Consular Wing at the Embassy.
During the visit, embassy officials met with Indian students studying at the university to discuss student welfare, academic life, and consular support services available to Indian nationals in the region. The interaction provided students studying MBBS in Bosnia with an opportunity to connect directly with embassy representatives and address queries on documentation, travel, and other consular matters.
The embassy delegation’s visit came ahead of the Consular Camp being organized in Sarajevo on 6th May 2026 for the Indian community residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The initiative reflects the Embassy’s continued efforts to remain connected with Indian students and diaspora members across the country.
Mr. Bhagwan Singh, Director of Worlin Education Services, worked in coordination with the University of East Sarajevo and the Embassy of India to help facilitate the visit and student interaction sessions. His cooperation contributed to smooth communication and coordination between the students, university administration, and embassy officials.
The University of East Sarajevo, particularly its Faculty of Medicine in Foča, has become an increasingly recognized destination for Indian students seeking affordable, high-quality medical education in Europe. Embassy visits and student outreach initiatives further strengthen the support system available to Indian students studying in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Embassy of India in Budapest continues to actively engage with Indian students and the diaspora through regular outreach activities, consular assistance, and community interactions across the region.
